How do I pay for my booking?


Cash is the only form of payment we currently can accept. All invoices to be paid upon check-in. Please place exact cash in a sealed envelope with your name, your pets name and the invoice amount, written on the front, to be handed to Paws staff. Overpayments will be treated as donations.




How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?


For busy months such as mid-summer and the Christmas season, we recommend booking two months in advance to reduce your chances of missing out. In the off-season, advanced notice (more than two weeks) MAY not be necessary, although we can not guarantee availability. As per our terms & conditions, we do not accept bookings with less than 72 hours’ notice.




What do I need to bring with me?


On the first day of boarding you should bring the following with you:

  • Medicine (if applicable)
  • We feed all animals Josera pet food, if your pet has any special dietary requirements, you need to supply the food.
  • Any home comforts you wish to remain with your pet.




Are the pens inside or outside?


Dog kennels have both an inside (air conditioned when needed) and an outside space. All cattery booths are inside.




Can you groom my pet during their stay?


No, unfortunately we do not currently provide this service at the PAWS World site. We do bathe and brush all pets during their stay.




Can you administer my pets medicine during their stay?


Yes, depending on medication requirements, we can provide this service free of charge through our on-site Veterinary Technician. Please contact us with your pets requirements prior to their stay.




Can PAWS World update my pets vaccination records?


No, we can however arrange for this to be carried out at our parter Veterinary Surgery, Royal Vet Clinic (charges may apply).




What shots are required before boarding?


Your dog must be current with Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza (DHPPiL), and Kennel Cough (Infectious Tracheobronchitis). Cats must have their Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calci-Panleukopenia. All Dog and Cat vaccinations will be checked by our team as part of the booking process.

Is there someone at PAWS World at night?


Yes, the PAWS World facility has staff onsite 24/7.




Do you have a vet on site?


At PAWS World we have a Veterinary technician on site, located within our clinic. If further medical assistance is required we will take your pet to our partner vet, Royal Vets, Al Waab. (Charges may apply)




What is the cancellation fee?


There is no cancellation fee, if you have provided more than 72 hours' notice, you will be entitled to a full refund. If you do not provide less than 72 hours' notice, you will be charged the cost of 3 full-priced nights.
For early check-out, it may be possible depending on the time of day and how much notice is given. For check-outs for 3 or more nights early, you will be charged for 3 full-priced nights. For early checkouts of less than 3 nights, you will not be entitled to a refund for the remaining nights.
Please also note that for early check-out the use of our driver may not be possible, and a refund of the driving service cost will not be applicable.
Refunds may only be given in the form of a credit toward your next stay.




Can I visit the PAWS World site before deciding?


YES! You are welcome to visit the PAWS Retreat.

You can visit the shelter any day ‪between 10:00 - 12:00 PM‬ And 4:00 pm - 6:00 PM

We are located about 50 minutes from the Corniche. You must use Waze when navigating to us.

There is a stretch of unpaved road so make sure to only follow Waze, google maps can be misleading. Once you reach, the gates might be closed, if so, just call any of the numbers posted on the gate, and our workers will open for you. Let us know if you need any help.

*Please note the following COVID-19 measure: - EHTERAZ, temperature check and masks are mandatory.- Maintain social distancing at all times.- Most importantly have fun during your visit, animals don’t carry COVID-19 so no social distancing required with them so get some cuddles during your visit.




Are all breeds welcome?


Yes, our trained team is experienced with all breeds.

Animals can be aggressive or destructive regardless type or breed. Any cost arising from damage to PAWS employees or property will be charged back to you.




How often are the kennels and the cattery cleaned?


The kennels and cattery are cleaned every day and more often if necessary.




Can my pets stay together?


Yes, your pets can stay together at a discounted rate. Selected up to 3 pets per kennel/cattery at the point of booking.

If you book your pets to stay in the same enclosure, as they will not have constant supervision, we trust your judgement that they get along together.




Do you give discounts for long-term bookings?


Yes, discounts may be applied when invoicing for bookings over 1 week. Further discounts may be applied for bookings over a month. Please ask when sending your pets medical records.




What is the daily schedule?


A typical daily schedule consists of:

  • 06:00 - Social dogs play group
  • 06:00 - Administer medications where applicable
  • 06:00 - Clean kennels/cattery
  • 08:00 - Exercise boarding dogs
  • 10:00 - Feeding time
  • 14:00 - Dogs rotated through play area (Weather dependant)
  • 14:00 - Cats rotated through play area
  • 15:00 - Dog walks
  • 17:00 - Feeding time.

Will my cat be locked up all day?


Your cat will have their own spacious three-tiered booth. Throughout the day, cats get access to a large play area with lots of toys and an extrernal verenda space during the cooler months.
